The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who meet their specific labor market needs for Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada. Some provinces, such as British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario have recently issued invitations to apply to candidates through their respective PNPs.
By attracting skilled workers and entrepreneurs to these areas, the PNP can help drive innovation and job creation, which can in turn boost the local economy and improve the quality of life for residents.
The results are as follows:
British Columbia:
British Columbia has recently issued invitations to apply for provincial nomination to a number of candidates on January 31, 2023. The number of individuals invited was around 280. In addition, the province issued invitations to those with certain professions like healthcare, early childhood educators, and assistants, along with many more in-demand occupations.
It’s important to note that the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in British Columbia, like other Canadian provinces, is constantly evolving, with changes being made to the eligibility criteria, application process, and a number of invitations issued.
Alberta:
On January 23, 2023, the province of British Columbia held a draw and invited 154 candidates through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for the candidates to receive an invitation was 385. Whereas, on Jan 19, 2023, 46 invitations were issued with a minimum CRS score of 324.
According to the recent announcement, Express Entry candidates who have a close relative living in Alberta and who have skills and experience in high-demand occupations will have a higher chance of being selected for invitation to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) in the province.
Manitoba:
The province of Manitoba has recently conducted a draw targeting Canadian immigration candidates from Ukraine as part of the province’s special measures. This draw is part of Manitoba’s efforts to support those affected by the conflict and provide them with a new opportunity to settle and build a better future in Canada. On January 30, the province of Manitoba issued 21 invitations through its Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to Ukrainian candidates.
The eligibility criteria for the same are as follows:

-Must have a minimum of CLB of 4 in each language band
