Canada conducted its first Express Entry Draw of the year on 11th January 2023, nearly after 2 months, and is considered to be the largest since the resumption of all program draws in July 2022.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to 5,500 individuals with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507. The number of invitations is increasing gradually as draws continue. There were about 750 more ITAs issued in this draw as compared to the previous draw held on November 23rd, 2022. Therefore, this marks the biggest all-program express entry draw, since the commencement of draws in July last year.
Immigration Targets 2023-2025
The 2023-2025 plan, targets to attract individuals with skills required in key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, technology, etc. This will help the Canadian Immigration System to grow the economy by attracting highly skilled immigrants.
Canada aims to welcome 463,000 new immigrants in 2023. Gradually the target will rise to 485,000 new immigrants in 2024, with a further increase to 500,000 new immigrants in the year 2025. Express Entry draws will be an essential component in helping the country to reach its targets and warmly welcome newcomers to all areas of the nation.

It is a point-based digital system that was launched in January 2015 by the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), formerly CIC.
