In the seventh Express Entry draw of 2023, IRCC invited 7,000 candidates who scored a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 490.
The latest draw was not only the first all-program draw since January 18th but also the largest on record, surpassing the previous record. An all-program draw is for the candidates from all three Express Entry Programs- the Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Express Entry: Overview
Canada Express Entry Program is an online system that is used to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. It uses the point-based system- the CRS, to rank a candidate’s profile.
To apply for Express Entry, you need to complete two steps. First, you need to submit your profile with some necessary documents. These documents usually include language test results, educational certificates, passports,s, etc.
Immigration Targets 2023- 2025:
The Canadian Immigration System seeks to grow the economy by attracting highly skilled immigrants, reuniting families through different programs, and providing shelter for refugees seeking protection.
They aim to welcome 463,000 new immigrants in 2023. The target will gradually rise to 485,000 new immigrants in 2024, with a further increase to 500,000 new immigrants in 2025.
Hereafter, given Canada’s current immigration trend and demographics, it seems likely that immigration numbers are only going to get higher in the years ahead.
